I am not old, but I'd like to call it 'in my era'... In my era, I watched stocks like Bank of India, IOB, TCS, BPCL, TATA, RIL, Bajaj, etc. .... I don't track markets like I used to.
Although, from a finance background, after marriage- home chores and helping my husband with his business- took me off the hook. A post on Instagram made me realize how drastically things have changed. And how silly of me to have taken a back seat... I am sure there will be many women like me.
And for those who aren't from a finance background and don't have enough knowledge about shares and investments, I am writing this detailed blog on these new-age companies.
Also, my blog Paisa and more is primarily focused on investment enlightenment for women and girls.
So, the post I came upon on Instagram was about statistical data of “Who soared and stumbled this week?” - a weekly performance data of stocks.

This is a long list, but not comprehensive.
To be completely honest, a few of these company names were entirely new to me, while seeing others on a stock exchange list genuinely caught me off guard. Caught between curiosity and surprise, I decided it was time to dig deeper and see what was really going on behind the numbers.
This is the central shift in modern capital markets: the transition from asset-heavy to asset-light business models.
Where traditional industrial giants required massive capital expenditure up front—purchasing land, erecting factories, installing heavy machinery, and managing extensive physical supply chains—new-age tech companies rely on digital infrastructure, cloud computing, algorithms, and network effects.
This was my take so far. Share your views in comments below.
